Sometimes the explanation of an artwork does not fit well into the site's template. Michelangelo's Madonna of the Stairs and the Medici Madonna are two that work better in the form of a short essay. I've just added one on the two of them and will be adding more soon. So, don't forget to check out the Essays page now or on your next visit. No need to worry, though: the paper is still very succinct and can be read in less than 3 minutes.
An extra benefit: you can print them.....which I don't think is possible with the normal format.
